Is This The Way That Niantic Can Keep The Game Alive?

Hey guys. Niantic have bombing us with raids for nearly two months now. You might’ve seen that a lot of people having divided opinion about the raids. The opinion vary from person to person. Their location also plays a crucial part. The Gen 3 will be coming out some time later. It’s only a matter of time now. Niantic’s bombardment of raids has kind of had bad effects on the community. So, how can Niantic bring back the spark?

Gen 1 & 2 have a small number of legendary Pokémon when compared to the later generations. Gen 1 has 5 and Gen 2 has 6 legendaries in total. As we move forward with the number of legendaries begins to increase as well. Gen 3 will have 10 new legendary Pokémon, Generation 4 contains 14 legendary Pokémon, and Generation 5 will bring 13. As you can clearly see that the number increases significantly with each generation.
The current way of distributing legends does not seem sustainable in the long term, in terms of player enjoyment and fairness for all players. It’s not just the sheer amount of legends available either. Many of the players are just bored. The first week of a new legend is fun but then raiding becomes less about the legend and more about the XP and raid rewards.

Why does this matter? Players from the city who miss out on the first week have a lot ot problems creating a raid group later, and rural players have always had it rough.

The answer to these woes would be Daily tasks. A lot of people have been suggesting the need of Daily tasks for Pokémon Go. Niantic should really consider implementing these not only as way for rural trainers to have the opportunity to catch a legend. Here’s an example of the daily task— players could be tasked with catching five Pokémon of a certain type every day. If they successfully keep this streak for a week, a legendary would spawn at their location. This gives rural players at most a few chances every month to catch a legend.
This would help all the trainers a lot. And I’m sure the players would be more than happy to have such a change.
That’s it from me. I hope you enjoyed it. Please leave your comments below. If you have any queries don’t hesitate to ask. We’d love to help you out.
