New Information on Redeemable Code Rewards!!

If you guys are regular readers over here, one of my previous posts was about those redeemable passcodes that were quite ambiguous.

Guess what fans, after doing some more research we did find out some much-needed information about these redeemable codes. For those guys who want to catch up, these passcodes are nothing new for Niantic. They have been using these to promote their other AR based game, Ingress for quite some time now.

Guess what fans, after doing some more research we did find out some much-needed information about these redeemable codes. For those guys who want to catch up, these passcodes are nothing new for Niantic. They have been using these to promote their other AR based game, Ingress for quite some time now.

So previously we talked about the possibilities of having various rewards like Avatar items, Pokemon candy, and other exciting stuff. Well, we now have confirmed information about this.

At least as of now, there are code indications to the following items being obtainable via passcodes.

Avatar items,

Candy,

Coins

Stardust.

Although there are code indications that future expansion of this feature is still on the cards. It is to be kept in mind that, these passcodes have not been launched yet in the game, you can bet that the next update APK mine will provide further information about this feature. In the near future expect to see a way to obtain rare Pokemon like Dratini and Porygon through this way, just like those gift Pokemon that could be exchanged in the Game corner in Celadon city.

It would make perfect sense for Niantic to include sponsor specific passcodes to the game, to benefit its business partners and trainers alike. Imagine walking to a nearby Starbucks to see a new drink added to the menu, which will give you passcode, which on redeeming, you will be able to receive some coins and Starbucks specific Avatar items.

The same would apply to other sponsors that Niantic currently has like McDonald’s, Sprint and Jio Infocom. Along with many others. Also, make sure that you guys enable tweet notifications for Pokemon Go’s official Twitter handle, they might be giving away these passcodes, for social media user engagement.
