Date Revealed For Upcoming Legendary Pokemon!

Many fans have been enjoying the first wave of the Legendary Raids, a raid so legendary due to the long wait we’ve all had to endure during the past year just to get some Legendary Pokemon. The wait was well worth it even though team mystic got the first legendary raid.

These raids are giving fans Pokemon that are among the top tier in the game minus Mewtwo and Mew, both of which have yet to make an appearance though with the legendary birds being here we’re not too worried about that now.

When fans found out how bad the first Pokemon GO fest was Niantic quickly responded with these amazing Pokemon, and because Team Mystic won the event, and Articuno raids were happening at GO Fest for a while until the server came crashing down. Soon after the server downtime happened, Niantic decided to roll out Legendary raids world-wide giving fans the opportunity to catch Lugia and Articuno.

Well known youtubers began tweeting and blogging about these Pokemon as soon as they found out about them.

Many fans are speculating that Moltres will bring Ho-oh to the game along with it, due to the release of Lugia alongside Articuno. This actually makes perfect sense when you think about what each Pokemon stand for in the anime series and manga.

Niantic released a statement regarding the release of the legendary Pokemon, revealing the dates for the next Pokemon to come to the game.

We will be folding all of our learnings into the Pokémon GO events planned for later this summer in Yokohama, Japan and across Europe.

As these events unfold, Trainers all around the world will have a chance to capture even more Legendary Pokémon. Based on the efforts Saturday at Pokémon GO Fest, Lugia and Articuno were unlocked. In the weeks ahead, they will be joined by Moltres and Zapdos.

  • Articuno (Team Mystic) released on Saturday, July 22 and available through Monday, July 31.
  • Moltres (Team Valor) to be released on Monday, July 31 and available through Monday, August 7.
  • As you can see above, the official date set for the next Legendary Pokemon is July, 31st a date set after an amazing weekend following an amazing UFC card with a main title fight between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. I’ll be looking forward to this action packed weekend, alongside a Legendary Monday!

Stay tuned for more Pokemon contents.
