Pokemon Go: Anniversary Event Countdown, and Random Rants!
Ok, guys, this was randomly out of the blue actually although many trainers in the community were expecting this stuff to drop, it looks like all the leaked info and mockups and leaked promo materials all things are indeed true.
Well anyways, we got an event this anniversary, and things might not be as special as everyone feels, but anyways we did get some acknowledgment and we got the new anniversary box too. Which is a great deal if you ask me, considering you have been running out of Raid Passes lately.
Ok so let’s break it down we get two new additions for the anniversary. Number one is we get a cute little Pikachu wearing the iconic Ash’s hat from the original Anime. And second, we get a new limited edition Anniversary Box, which contains Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls and a Raid Pass, will also be available for a limited time through the in-game shop at a discounted price.
THE EVENT STARTS OFF ON JULY 6 AT 1:00 P.M. PDT TO JULY 24 AT 1:00 P.M. PDT. THE END OF THIS PROMOTIONAL EVENT EXTENDS WAY LONGER TILL POKEMON GO FEST.
Pikachu discovered in the wild during this duration will be wearing Ash’s famous hat from the Pokémon animated series, so make sure you don’t miss out on your opportunity to catch one! You’ll also be able to stock up for Raid Battles and the events ahead with the special limited-time Anniversary Box, which will include Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls and Raid Passes at a discount in the in-game shop.
The price of the anniversary box is not known yet, which is kind of a bummer, the special promotional offer opens up at the same time. The boxes will be cheaper than the combined cost of Raid Pass and Incubators, Not many people care about the other stuff in there anyways. Ok now let’s talk about the Ranting part now, shall we?
Ranting Starts Now
It’s the one year anniversary of Pokemon Go, and honestly, all we get is a sale with free hats?
To be honest I’m slightly disappointed with the specifics of this so called “event”. But look at the bright side folks.
Pikachu is the official Mascot of the Pokemon Franchise and, it looks freaking cute. On the Pokemon Go Live Blog Post, it was explicitly implied that Raids were a part of the Anniversary update.
“JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO, THE ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION KICKED OFF WITH A BANG. YOU AND MILLIONS OF OTHER TRAINERS WENT OUTSIDE TO BATTLE IN REVAMPED GYMS AND PARTICIPATE IN RAID BATTLES WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS FOR THE FIRST TIME, BUT THIS WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF AN ACTION-PACKED COUPLE OF MONTHS. ”
We got awesome stuff happening with the game, We just got a massive content update. That put Pokemon back on the Trending page in App Stores, and same gym rework got Forbes, Telegram, The Verge and Wired. We also got the GO Fest is next month, and there’s a lot more planned for the summer. Even Legendaries are in talks for this Summer.
And For all those people, who are like, I am not going to the Go Fest, so I don’t give a damn about it, Well maybe you should. Cause Niantic’s Team members were very clear that there will be in-game events for all the Trainers Worldwide.
