Pokemon Go : Get Lazy
After all this wait finally pokemon go got update for their players. Niantic just announced a surprise update just days before Pokemon Go Fest. Players had just about given up hope on a new update before this weekend’s event, as it usually takes several days for an update to get onto Apple’s App Store. Pokémon GO updated to version 0.69.0 for Android and 1.39.0 for iOS. Pokémon Go adds a small but useful feature for those who keep a lot of Pokémon at gyms. Players can now feed berries to their gym-defending Pokémon remotely — meaning they won’t have to hoof it all the way to the gym anymore.
The patch notes for game’s updated version mention that this new ability works through the Pokémon info screen. Selecting a Pokémon from the player’s party who’s away holding down a gym will open up the option to teleport to their location, so that the player can give them a quick snack.
The berry-feeding mechanic is one of the freshest additions to the game. As part of Niantic’s big gym overhaul in June, the developer gave players a new incentive to check out Pokémon Go’s competitive features: bonding with their Pokémon by giving them berries, which would in turn help them stay motivated to fight at the gym.
The one downside to being able to do this remotely is that the Pokémon won’t become quite as motivated if their trainer doesn’t actually stop by to feed them. This is still helpful for anyone who’s posted up their Pokémon far away, or if they just don’t feel like leaving the house that day.
